A wrinkle in time

My oomph has returned (yay!) accompanied by a healthy(-ish) dose of fear (anticipation?) and trepidation (excitement?) re working towards my career goals.

Which means that sadly Crafting the Draft has started to creep back towards the evenings (nights), although right now I’m okay with that because my time is still being spent on things that excite and energize me.

So today’s a reflection on all things March 25 (ish - turns out I didn’t take a photo on every March 25; such a shame, I know). It’s fun — and kind of crazy — that you can now search for specific dates and objects (though there’s still some machine learning training that Apple can do here) within iPhotos. Technology is wild!

2020 March 11 - Patagonia, Chile

This was Day 1 of my first ever multi-day hike. Now that I’m going through my photos, I think my trekking trip in Patagonia deserves a Postcards post of its own! Especially because—did you notice the date—I was hiking right when COVID broke out and didn’t hear the news till I finished the multi-day trek and was back with cell service.

2020 March 29 - New Jersey, USA

Early stages of the pandemic: moved out of New York so I wasn’t stuck in a box and in with my mom back in New Jersey. Classic pandemic baking craze ensues

2021 March 24 - Brooklyn, USA

Later stage of the pandemic, but I’ve got my own place in Brooklyn and am finding joy staying cozy in my apartment (aka continuing the pandemic trend of baking up a storm). Also started a side project to model

2022 March 25 - Caye Caulker, Belize

My egg freezing-moon in Belize! I loved creating this trip for myself to celebrate freezing my eggs and encourage every friend to do the same — it’s just as powerful and meaningful of an event as an anniversary, engagement, and promotion.

2023 March 23 — Epcot @ Disney, USA

Last work conference before quitting my job - what a way to close out my career! Although tbh that conference was slightly stressful and did not allow me to indulge my inner child much at all

2024 March 25 - Paparoa National Park, New Zealand

Midway through my campervan trip around New Zealand — one of the best experiences of my life. I miss feeling self-sufficient in the way that only camping (or living out in the wild) can give you. I miss being immersed in nature 24/7 and having my only daily goal be to be face-to-face with Mother Earth.

2025 March 25 - Sydney, Australia

Moved to Sydney. Pursuing my career and life dreams. Returned to pole after a very long (12 year!) hiatus.
