I’ve got mail

I got a package from home today!

It wasn’t entirely unexpected though. I’d asked my parents to send over my racing sneakers since it cost significantly less to ship than to buy a new pair.

There’s something special about receiving something in the mail, whether it’s a package, a purchase, or best of all a letter or card. The latter is my favorite, as many of you know, to send and to receive. I feel so loved when receiving a letter, especially because it’s so unexpected in this digital age. A letter represents thoughtfulness and care: it takes time to pick out a card, buy a stamp, and post it in the mail as compared to tapping off a text message with a quick swipe of your fingers. There’s something special about mail, and I love creating that experience for my loved ones.
