Home is where the croissant is
Look at this perfection!
It is a beautiful piece of art, and it’s one of my favorite croissants in Sydney maybe even the world. Potato chips and flaky sea salt — divine.
Home Croissanterie is owned and operated by friends of friends, which is how I discovered them when I first visited Sydney in Jan 2024. They have the best staff (not biased), delicious high quality coffee, and absolutely phenomenal croissants. While my favorite is the potato and sea salt, they also do other quite tasty flavored croissants — currently on rotation is their ham & cheese, malt custard & chocolate, and date & butterscotch croissant (what I want to try next!).
Those of you who know me know that croissant cafes are my happy place. They are infinitely better than pastry shops (often no seating areas and subpar coffee, plus they’re usually takeaway only which means less customer interaction) and better than coffee shop cafes (need I mention that I’m a croissant snob?).
In a perfect world I’d be chilling at Home Croissanterie every day, catching up with the team between sips of coffee, working on my laptop while trying to avoid croissant flakes between the keyboard, and sitting in the peacefulness of being surrounded by good people and good food.
